Let’s discuss two different ways to make money writing internet articles. The first way is to go to associatedcontent.com With Associated Content it’s very simple. Submit articles and get paid. It doesn’t have to be in writing either. You can submit audio or video.
There are 3 different ways to get paid. One is you get paid upfront and agree the article is exclusive. Exclusive means your content belongs to associated content only and you may not submit it anywhere else. This will pay the most upfront.
Two is non-exclusive. You may submit it other places as well but you will not get paid as much as exclusive.
Three is where you submit articles and get paid based on performance. The more people visit your article page, the more associated content will pay you. The reason I believe associated content can do this is because they will advertise with your page. But it really doesn’t matter. The important thing to note here is that you can make money writing internet articles by associated content. You don’t even have to shell out any money.
The second way of how to make money with internet articles is by writing “product review articles.” You can make money with internet articles by using affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is simply referring someone to a product. When that someone buys the product, you get paid a commission by the product owner for the referral.
I primarily make money writing internet articles with squidoo.com. Squidoo allows you to use affiliate links unlike a lot of publishers who allow very little self promotion. Squidoo has a high page rank, which is important because this method relies a lot on search engine optimization.
Here is what I did and you can do this easily too.
I’m a member of wealthy affiliate university. They have a tool I use where I look for niche keywords. Niche keywords are keywords being searched for but have low competition.
I wanted to promote wealthy affiliate so I typed in “affiliate marketing”. Affiliate Marketing is way too broad but I knew I could find spinoffs like “affiliate marketing programs” or “affiliate marketing tips”. I found “affiliate marketing support”. This looked pretty good because I knew if someone was looking for affiliate marketing support, wealthy affiliate university would be a good answer for them. Wealthy Affiliate pays me $175 per referral or $20 per month for that referral so I knew I found a lucrative niche.
By the way wealthy affiliate is responsible for teaching me how to make money writing internet articles and has every tool you would need to submit articles and get paid. Wealthy Affiliate has a section called WA jobs. With WA jobs, members can write articles and get paid by other members.
Affiliate Marketing Support was actually too broad for a niche keyword. How do I know? Well when I typed in “affiliate marketing support” with the quotes (the quotes give you the exact phrase) the results were more than 5,000. That is just too darn many. Ideally 3,000 or less results is going to be your best chance for being found by viewers. So anyway I mispelled affiliate marketing support with what I thought would be common mispellings of affiliate and sure enough it worked. Now my page is in the top ten results for “afiliate marketing support” including quotes with Google. Notice how afiliate is mispelled. That’s another way you can make money writing internet articles and submit articles and get paid.

A good resource box is an essential part of every good article. The resource box is where you add your links and other information about your site, or links to products that you are recommending. As a writer, this is your only compensation for writing the article. So make sure you pay yourself well and include a good resource box with each article that you submit.
Most article directories will allow you to place 3 links in your resource box. Take full advantage and place the maximum number of links available. However, don’t make your resource box too long. It should never be longer than 20% of the length of your article.
Most directories provide a special box for your resource information (also known as your ‘author Bio’). Use the techniques below to develop a resource box that makes you money and generates clicks.
First and foremost, include the full website address (starting with http) of the primary website, web page, or product that you are recommending. The site that you direct visitors to should be related to the content of your article.
Include two or three sentences that describe the benefits of each website or product that you are recommending. They should read like small classified ads. In fact, they ARE classified ads. Give compelling reasons as to how the reader will benefit by clicking on the links.
Always ask for the order. Tell the reader to ‘visit the site NOW,’ or ‘get details at,’ or ‘get your free download now.’ A free download, report, or give-away item will almost always attract more clicks.
Although many experts suggest that you include your name, I do not feel that it is necessary. I feel that you are better served by providing additional benefits on the sites or products that you are recommending.
If you are familiar with html, and the site that you are submitting to allows it, enter your links in anchor text format. The search engines seem to favor this type of link. If you are not familiar with html, you will find many examples of how to use it by doing a search for the term ‘anchor text.’
